Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has become the fastest Arsenal player to score 50 Premier League goals.

The Gunners captain netted against Norwich on Wednesday evening to make it 50 goals in 79 league appearances.

Henry had previously held the record for scoring that amount in 83 games, but Aubameyang holds the crown now.

The 30-year-old striker is also the sixth quickest Premier League player to reach the 50-goal landmark.

Andrew Cole holds the record at 65 appearances, while Alan Shearer (66), Ruud Van Nistelrooy (68), Fernando Torres and Mohamed Salah (both 72) trail.

Since joining Arsenal in a £56million deal from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018, Aubameyang has scored 63 goals in 101 games in all competitions.

Aubameyang has found the target 22 times this season, which only further highlights his importance to Arsenal.

He has less than a year left on his contract with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta keen to agree fresh terms with his star man.
