Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The 55-year-old disclosed this on Wednesday, July 22.

He disclosed that he had assigned “critical tasks” to Deputy Governor Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi but that he would still be working from home.
“I took my third Covid-19 test yesterday [July 21] and it came back positive,” Mr Fayemi tweeted. “I’m generally ok and I’m already self-isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team.”
“I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy but will continue routine duty from home,” he added.
