DORTMUND CEO DOUBTS CLUBS CAN AFFORD SANCHO

Borussia Dortmund’s chief executive HansJoachmin Watzke admits the club are willing to discuss selling Jadon Sancho, but doubts anyone could match their asking price.

Sancho, just 20, has registered a combined 17 goals and assists this season, and Dortmund reportedly rate him at £100m, with Manchester United among those thought to be interested.

Watzke said: ““If Jadon approaches us and says he wants to leave no matter what – which has not happened so far – and a club wants to spend what we are asking for, we will discuss it.

“But I don’t think a club will pay the fee we want.”

LOVREN AS MAKEWEIGHT IN KOULIBALY DEAL?

Liverpool are edging rivals Manchester City in the race to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly by offering up Dejan Lovren as part of the deal, according to Tuttosport in Italy.

Napoli are reportedly demanding £90m for Koulibaly, but the newly-crowned Premier League champions are hoping to offer Croatian defender Lovren as a makeweight.

The report says Liverpool are looking to move quick in the transfer market after securing the title.

SKRINIAR/AGUERO SWAP DEAL?

Inter Milan could attempt to lure Sergio Aguero away from Manchester City, according to Calciomercato.

Any deal could involve defender Milan Skriniar, with Manchester City reportedly interested in the Inter.

Aguero, 32, has scored 16 Premier League goals this season, and is out of contract next summer.

ARTHUR TO JUVE UPDATE

Arthur has tonight signed a five-year contract to join Juventus this summer.

Earlier, Sky Italy report that Arthur and Juventus’ Miralem Pjanic had completed medicals in Turin on Saturday as they prepare to switch clubs.

According to Sky Sports News, Arthur will fly back to Spain today and will resume training with Barcelona ahead of their match against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

The agreed fee is £72.5m for Arthur and the Pjanic deal is worth £60m.


CASTAGNE WOULDN’T TURN DOWN SPURS

Atalanta right-back Timothy Castagne says that he could not turn down the chance to join Tottenham if they make a move for him this summer.

“I think the time has come to move on, but I won’t be disappointed if I stay,” he told Belgian outlet La Derniere Heure. “I’m very proud of this. It’s proof that hard work pays off. I hope it’s more than just simple interest from them.

“You have to be honest with yourself. When a team like PSG or Tottenham come knocking on your door, you can’t say ‘no’.”

CITY AND JUVE SWAP RISING STARS 

Manchester City and Juventus have agreed a swap deal involving youngsters Felix Correia and Pablo Moreno, according to Sky in Italy.

City’s Correia, who was on loan at AZ Alkmaar this season, underwent the first part of a medical with Juventus on Saturday.

The 19-year-old was signed only last summer from Sporting Lisbon, but is expected to join Juventus on Monday after the second part of his medical.

The 18-year-old attacker Moreno, meanwhile, will move in the opposite direction to join City before heading out on loan to Spanish side Girona.

The Spain youth international switched to Juve from Barcelona’s La Masia academy in 2018.

CHELSEA CHILWELL HOPES GET BEN-ER

Chelsea’s hopes of signing Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell this summer look to be on the up, with Metro reporting the Foxes may have found an adequate replacement in the form of Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico.

Chilwell has been a target for the Blues for some time, while Argentina international Tagliafico played a part in Ajax’s run to last season’s Champions League semi-finals.
