The acting managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has slumped while being questioned by the House of Representatives Committee on NDDC.
Prof Daniel Pondei slumped on Monday afternoon, forcing the Committee to put the grilling on hold as it investigates alleged financial misappropriation at the agency.
Before the break, the Committee had asked him how he got approval to spend N1.32bn for COVID-19 palliatives.
“I don’t want to lie under oath, but I will provide the answer,” Pondei said, slumping afterward when another question was asked.
